Study Proves Chem-Dry’s Proprietary Cleaning Process Makes Homes Healthier

We spend an average of 90 percent of our time indoors, so having carpet and upholstery professionally cleaned is essential to maintaining a healthy home, especially for the 1 in 5 Americans who suffer from allergies. Did you know that carpets, area rugs and upholstered furniture help indoor air quality by acting as giant filters that absorb dirt, allergens and bacteria, but they need to be professionally cleaned in order to remain optimally effective at trapping those elements. But not all cleaning processes are the same.

A new independent study found that Chem-Dry significantly reduces the amount of common indoor allergens and bacteria in the home. After vigorous testing of Chem-Dry’s proprietary Hot Carbonating Extraction (HCE) cleaning process, researchers found Chem-Dry’s cleaning method to remove an average of 98.1% of common household allergens from carpets and upholstery and, when combined with their sanitizer, an average of 89% of the airborne bacteria in the home.

The study was conducted by a leading independent air quality laboratory in a cross-section of consumer homes in the U.S. and internationally. The specific common household allergens tested were cat and dog dander and dust mite allergens.

Chem-Dry is the Healthy Home brand in the carpet cleaning industry. Whether you suffer from allergies or asthma, or you just want to provide the healthiest home for your family, Chem-Dry’s proprietary cleaning products and process are extremely effective in removing the common allergens and bacteria in your home and improving the air you and your family breathes.
