One lucky franchise wins Chem-Dry's first pink cleaning system
Customers in the Palm Desert area should keep their eyes out for a pink 
Chem-Dry PowerHead and PowerBase coming to clean their homes. Tim Goeler and Justine Jensen, owners of Integrity Chem-Dry in Moreno Valley, recently won this pink cleaning system from a drawing during the national Chem-Dry convention in Newport Beach, California. All proceeds from the ticket sales were donated to breast cancer awareness and research.
When his franchise was announced as the winner, Goeler said, he was really excited. “It was great because I was just thinking that if we won, we could do something special to raise more money for breast cancer awareness,” he said. “I think it’s meant to be so we can use the pink PowerHead to do some good.”
Goeler has big plans for Integrity Chem-Dry and said he wants to launch a special program during breast cancer awareness month in October. He is considering making a special donation for every home cleaned by the pink Powerhead. He also plans to sell Chem-Dry’s new Pink World Famous Spot Remover to customers. For every can, $1 has been donated to breast cancer research and awareness. Goeler said he hopes customers will purchase the pink cans because “it’s good for your carpets and makes a positive impact on the world.”
Raising money for cancer research is a meaningful contribution for Goeler. He said his great grandmother was diagnosed with cancer and it eventually spread throughout her whole body. Watching a loved one suffer from cancer is one of the most difficult things in life. Goeler said many of his customers are going through or have gone through this painful experience and it is devastating. But he is happy that Chem-Dry has chosen to fundraise for breast cancer awareness because it is a great way to bring recognition to the cause.
Ed Quinlan, Chem-Dry’s director of marketing is very passionate about Chem-Dry’s $25,000 commitment. He said, “Everyone has been touched by cancer in some way. Chem-Dry knows how devastating it can be to find out your mother, sister or friend has breast cancer. We decided it was time to step up and join the fight. Franchise owners are encouraged to participate in fundraising for breast cancer and customers are invited to make a donation at the time of their carpet cleaning. We know that every little bit makes a difference.”
