Allaire Chem-Dry Goes to the Dogs
(New Jersey) --- In an effort to boost business, Allaire Chem-Dry in New Jersey has gone to the dogs.
Owner Brian Flaherty said the company will be a sponsor of the Monmouth County SPCA Dog Walk & Fair Fundraiser in October—an event that attracts approximately 3,000 people and 1,000 dogs. Allaire Chem-Dry will donate $10 to the MCSPCA during October for each full house cleaning, while also giving a $50 gift certificate toward carpet cleaning to anybody that adopts a dog from the MCSPCA during the same month.
Brian said the purpose for this idea—which a marketing consultant helped him come up with—is very simple.
“We're trying to establish Allaire Chem-Dry as the carpet cleaner of choice for pet owners,” Brian said. “We hope to gain new customers and increase brand awareness.
For a set amount of dollars they allow you to put your name on the back of the T-Shirts and to have a table to do a display our products at the dog walk.”
Though the idea is innovative and has potential, Brian was quick to point out that this is the first time Allaire Chem-Dry has done this.
“I don't think it's a bad idea,” Brian said. “It's a way to go, but it's not a magic wand that's going to change your business overnight.”
We know that pet owners are likely to have odors and spills on their carpets that require extra attention, said Ed Quinlan, Chem-Dry's marketing director. "So partnering up to support a local pet charity is a great way to extend knowledge of your unique services. And, it benefits the community overall, which is always a good thing."
Chem-Dry is a division of Home Depot, which is the world's largest carpet manufacturer. Chem-Dry is the world's largest carpet cleaning company. Franchise opportunities are available throughout the United States.
